'Football Fever'- done more harm than good?

Too much concentration on football has not just broken many hearts but has also limited the shine of the young,talented,and multi-talented youth of this blessed nation.

Perhaps if some of the moneys that are constantly thrown into the treasury of the Nigerian Football Federation, are used to develop other sports, the teeming sport lovers of this country will always have somewhere else to 'revive their drooping spirits'.This is because Nigerian football in recent times have pierced the patriotic hearts of the fans of the round leather game.(this is not disputing the fact that football has given us reasons to smile in the past)

Who says we can 't make waves in the worlds of Cricket, Basketball,Rugby,Tennis,Athletics,etc.These games are alien to the average Nigerian because of our unconditional love for football.

What would you recommend as the game of second choice for this great sport-crazy nation?

The football fever in Nigeria just like other parts of the world is a good thing and a welcomed development,It gives the youths a purpose and work,considering that "An idled mind is the devils office".

I'll say Nay,I believe that the idle mind is the bane of destruction,the fever has created a work for otherwise jobless youths and has given them a means to redirect some of their latent strengths for good.
