THE Extra-Ordinary Congress of the Nigeria Premier League held on Friday at the Abuja National Stadium agreed that the Globacom Premier League would go on recess from December 26 and resume on January 8,2010.


Within this period, it was said that outstanding matches will be concluded and the transfer window would be wrapped up.

The Congress also constituted the a seven-man Electoral Committee to conduct the forthcoming board elections in accordance with the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) and the Federation of International Football Association (FIFA) standard and electoral codes.

The members of the committee include: Chief Felix Anyansi-Agwu (South-East), Tony Ogola (South-South), Honourable Awalu Jada( North-East), Prince Oladimeji Ladi Thompson (North-Central), Alhaji Muazu Suleiman (North-West), Tony Rafua (South-West) and Alhassan Yakmut Saleh is the secretary of the committee.
