The Kebbi state Governor, Alhaji Usman Nasamu Dakingari, has presented 2011 budget proposal of N91.6 billion to the state House of Assembly.
Presenting the budget yesterday, the governor said that this year's estimate is a difference of N30 billion from last year’s figure of N61.7 billion.
Revenue and expenditure of the budget was summarised as follows:- recurrent revenue, N30.435 billion, capital revenue, N61,171,839,403 while the grand revenue is 91,626,717,5,66.
On expenditure, the total personnel cost (salaries) is N14,577,192,579, total overhead cost N9,198,247,110, consolidated revenue charges, N6,679 billion while total expenditure is N30,454,878,163.
The capital expenditure was also put at N61,171,839,403 and grand total of N91,626,717,566 was presented to the House Assembly.
He explained that agriculture remains the mainstay of the state's economy, adding that the estimate contains expenditure of 6.3 billion naira on irrigation, while 285 million naira would be expended on livestock and veterinary services.
