THE national leader of the Allied Congress Party of Nigeria (ACPN), Dr Olusola Saraki, at the weekend, said results of the April polls would definitely tell which party was in control of Kwara State.
The Waziri of Ilorin said this during the campaign tour of the party in Asa Local Government Area of the state.
He also urged those holding elective positions to participate fully in mobilising the electorate to vote for all ACPN candidates and assured them that the law would always be on their side.
“Only those who elected you to office can remove you through the provisions of the law. The ruling party cannot do that and now the squirrel has eaten up the umbrella. The PDP is dead in this state,” the former Senate leader told the cheering crowd.
He also warned voters not to be carried away by the last minute largesse being doled out by the state government.
At Igbo-roko, Dr Saraki promised to build a secondary school for the community, to be named Waziri High School.
The campaign train, including ACPN governorship candidate, Senator Gbemisola Saraki and other candidates also stopped at Otte, Aboto-Oja and Olomoda, where Dr Saraki promised to ensure provision of good roads, potable water and electricity for all rural communities in the state.
Meanwhile, the ACPN standard-bearer, Senator Saraki, has decried the under-development of Kaima and Baruten local government areas of the state and promised to redress the situation if elected governor in April.
