Etisalat Nigeria has said it is not in any rat race to grab subscribers at the detriment of quality of service, innovation and customer-centric focus it is associated with.

Wael Ammar, chief commercial officer of the telco who made this declaration in Lagos at the reloaded launch of its flagship product, Easy Cliq, reiterated the commitment of the firm to building a more robust network, expanding its rural coverage of the country and bringing innovative products that are pocket-friendly to the subscribers.

According to him, in less than three years of operation, the telco has invested massively in building a resilient network, adding that the number of cell sites it has now built is more than 2,000 across the country. He said with about 2.6 million subscribers in 2009, the network has grown to accommodate over seven million subscribers as at last year end.
