Types of MTN Bundles

There are three (3) types of MTN Bundles available to MTN TalkOn and PayGo customers:

1. MTN SmartLink Bundle which consists of 250 national voice minutes and 250 national SMS.
2. MTN FunLink Bundle which consists of 60 MTN-to-MTN minutes and 200 MTN-to-MTN SMS.
3. MTN HappyLink Bundle which consists of 22 MTN-to-MTN voice minutes and 30 MTN-to-MTN SMS.

You can use national minutes to make calls to any GSM network and you can use national SMS to send text to any GSM network
Your MTN Bundle is valid for thirty (30) days only from the date of purchase

You can buy any MTN Bundle by texting a keyword to 131 as follows. To buy:

How to check your MTN Bundle balance
To check your MTN Bundle account balance, simply dial *559# or text 403 to 131

MTN TOP UP

What are the available Top Ups

There are Three (3) types of MTN Top Ups namely:

* MTN-to-MTN voice minutes TopUp of 60 minutes
* MTN-to-MTN SMS TopUp of 50 SMS
* National voice minutes TopUp of 85 minutes

How to buy an MTN Top Up

If you have a valid MTN Bundle, you can buy any MTN Top Up by texting a code to 131 as follows. To buy

* MTN-to-MTN SMS TopUp, text 500 t0 131
* MTN-to-MTN voice minutes TopUp, text 501 t0 131
* National voice minutes TopUp, text 503 t0 131

How to check your MTN Top Up balance

Your MTN Top Up value will be added to your MTN Bundle balance.

For example, you bought an MTN FunLink Bundle (60 MTN-to-MTN voice minutes and 200 MTN-to-MTN SMS) and you have used up 50 minutes of the voice part of the bundle and none of your MTN-to-MTN SMS, you can buy an MTN-to-MTN voice minutes Top Up by texting 501 to 131.

The value of the MTN Top Up (60 MTN-to-MTN voice minutes will be added to the balance of your MTN FunLink Bundle i.e. 10 voice minutes.
When you send the normal bundle balance enquiry command, *559#, you will receive the message:
You have 70 On-net mins; 200 On-net SMS; 0 National mins; 0 national SMS

When will my Top Up expire?

Your MTN Top Up expires on the day that your MTN Bundle expires.

For example, you buy an MTN HappyLink Bundle on the 10th of January, 2011. This bundle will expire normally on the 9th of February, 2011.
But if you finish the SMS part of your MTN HappyLink Bundle on the 21st of January, you can buy an MTN-to-MTN SMS Top Up on the 23rd of January.
This MTN Top Up will expire on the 9th of February, 2011, the original expiry date of your MTN HappyLink Bundle.
