Customers of leading telecommunications company, Airtel Nigeria are to enjoy more benefits with the introduction of Airtel 2Good Xtra.

Airtel is offering pre-paid customers an instant 10% free bonus airtime on every recharge above N50 (fifty naira) using the company’s recently launched electronic recharge system (Airtel Easy Recharge).

Airtel Easy Recharge, launched as Wazobia Recharge in Nigeria, is a denomination-less recharge system which offers customers more convenience, flexibility, freedom, ease in loading their phone credit, ready access to recharge twenty four hours of the day (24/7) throughout the country and a unique opportunity to recharge their phones and those of their friends and family members through ATM, Airtel website and POS terminals at Airtel and Dealers’ shops, without having to use the scratch cards.

Therefore, customers who recharge electronically with N60, N100 or N500 denominations for instance, will get additional N6 (six naira), N10 (ten naira) or N50 (fifty naira) worth of airtime, respectively.

The bonus scheme is available for one month and the airtime bonus has a validity period of three days and is expected to be used only for on-net calls.

Also, Airtel’s new and existing customers can now make calls to more international destinations frequently called by Nigerians including Canada, India, China and UK (landline) as well as the US at 20 Kobo per second.

Calls to any of these destinations are charged at 60 Kobo per second for the first minute of the day while subsequent calls are billed at 20 Kobo per second for pre-paid customers.

Post-paid customers can also enjoy similar benefits of calling to these international destinations which will be charged at only 20 Kobo per second after the first 30minutes calls of the month to any of these destinations being charged at 60 Kobo per second.

Another interesting advantage of 2Good Xtra is that it is available to both pre-paid and post-paid customers. Post-paid customers enjoy the benefit of 20 free SMS every month. Pre-paid customers also have 20 free SMS after the first N100 recharge of the month.

Prepaid customers who wish to migrate to the 2good package can do so by dialling *446# while prepaid customers on 2good start enjoying the benefits immediately.
