    Confusion around the bidding for a 75% stake in Nitel Telecommunications Ltd. grew as the CEO of the Nigerian company involved in the winning consortium said China Unicom (Hong Kong) Ltd. was one of its partners.

    The Chinese telecom had earlier Thursday said it isn't part of a group bidding for the stake, according to spokeswoman Sophia Tso.

    But Usman Gumi, CEO of GiCell Wireless Ltd., said the London office of China Unicom agreed to ...

    It has been said that if this venture succeed,It will be greater than MTN,GLO and all others.

    So must they fight it to standstill?! It will succeed. We need it to check the forerunners' excesses!

    "Failure..." , according to Henry Ford,.".. is the only opportunity to begin again more intelligently". It remains a forerunner and can jump-start again. And Abraham Lincoln beautifully posits that, "Our resolution to succeed is more important than any other one thing". MTEL will pull through and with a more competitive playing field, Nigeria should have an admirably competitive and globally enviable telecom industry!
