Confusion Grows on Nitel Telecom Bid

Confusion around the bidding for a 75% stake in Nitel Telecommunications Ltd. grew as the CEO of the Nigerian company involved in the winning consortium said China Unicom (Hong Kong) Ltd. was one of its partners.

The Chinese telecom had earlier Thursday said it isn't part of a group bidding for the stake, according to spokeswoman Sophia Tso.

It is if and always if.. I always hate the word PESSIMISM let alone be a pessimist. I hope Jonathan's luck will extend to the NITEL venture.

So many under cover and issues are hovering over Nitel since its privatisation.

So must they fight it to standstill?! It will succeed. We need it to check the forerunners' excesses!

MTEL will pull through and with a more competitive playing field, Nigeria should have an admirably competitive and globally enviable telecom industry!

I really hope the Bid can succeed,no one mess with the Chinese.They are really business oriented.
