STEP ONE: UPDATING AND VALIDATING OF ADMISSION RECORDS:

1. (a) Visit NOUN website at http://www.nou.edu.ng and click on “Students”.
(b) On the gray left area of the screen, under “Events”, click on “Validate Application ”

Or

1. Visit http://www.nounonline.com/nouprereg
2. Take note of the message on the screen and click on “VALIDATE”.
3. Fill in the following:
1. application form number (on the admission letter).
2. receipt number (obtained during payment for NOUN application form).
3. confirmation order number (obtained during payment for NOUN application form).
4. Click on the “Logon” button.
5. Read the message on the screen and click on “Continue” or “[Click here to return]”.
6. Enter your new password twice.
7. Click on the “Logon” button.
8. Edit your application form of Noun Nigeria as follows (if necessary):
1. Click on “VALIDATE DATA” to edit the bio-data section of your application form.
2. Click on the “Update” button when you are through with this section or click on “Next” to proceed without editing this section .
3. Make changes to the “Academic Qualification” section of your form by adding and/or deleting subjects or, click on “Add Academic Qualification” to add new qualification.
4. Make changes to the “Work Experience” section of your form by adding to and/or deleting from the section .
5. When you are through with the “Academic Qualification” and the “Work Experience” sections of your application form or, if there is no need for editing in these sections“, click on “Return to Preview” to proceed.
9. Scroll to the bottom of the screen and follow the instruction written there.
10. Ensure the pieces of information on your application form are accurate and then follow the instruction at the bottom of the screen.
11. Read the pop-up message and click on the “Ok” button.
12. Scroll to the bottom of the screen and follow the instruction written there.
13. Read the message on the screen and click on “Thank you”.

STEP TWO: SCREENING AT THE STUDY CENTRE:

1. Go to the study centre you indicated in your NOUN Nigeria application form with the following;
1. 3 copies of your updated application form.
2. Letter of admission.
3. Original and three photocopies of your credentials.
4. 3 passport- sized photographs.
2. Study Centre Manager screens as follows:
1. Confirms your name on the admission list.
2. Verifies the photocopies of your credentials against the original copies.
3. Ascertains the programme to which you were admitted.
4. Gives you the list of the semester courses to be registered for, the schedule of fees and the list of participating banks at which payment can be made.
5. Gives you your Noun Nigeria Matriculation number.

STEP THREE: PAYING AT THE BANK:

* Collect a teller from the cashier
* Complete the teller
* Write clearly on the teller ‘NOUN REGISTRATION FEES’ and your Matriculation number
* Submit completed teller to the cashier
* Collect a copy of the teller and a copy of computer-generated receipt (eTranzact receipt**) from the cashier

**Note: The computer- generated receipt contains a receipt number and a confirmation order number.

STEP FOUR: REGISTERING ON LINE:

1. (a) Visit NOUN website at http://www.nou.edu.ng and click on “Students”.
(b) On the gray left area of the screen, under “Event”, click on “ Student Registration”

Or

1. Visit http://www.nounonline.com/noureg
2. Take note of the information on the screen and click on “REGISTER”
3. Key in:
1. Matriculation number (obtained at the study Centre)
2. Matriculation number as initial access password
4. Click on “Logon” button
5. Read the message on the screen and click on “New password” to proceed
6. On the next screen, enter new password twice
7. Click on the “Logon” button again
8. On the next screen do the following:
1. Click on “Load fund”
2. Click on “Add fund”
3. On the next screen, Enter receipt and confirmation order number ( see Note in step three above)
4. Read the message on the screen and click on “Thank you”
5. Click “Return” to go back to the main portal
6. Click on “my courses” to select course of choice
7. Click checkbox to check and uncheck the box corresponding to each course
8. Click on the “Save” button and/or on “Return” to conclude selection
9. Click on “Print Copy” to make 3 copies of the courses for which you have registered
9. Click on “Logout” when you are through

STEP FIVE: COMPLETING REGISTRATION AT THE STUDY CENTRE:

* Submit 3 copies of registration form, (in step 4 number 8above) and a copy of the teller (in step 3 above) to the Study Centre Manager
* Present evidence of payment at the bank and collect NOUN receipt
* Collect course materials for registered courses.
