The Agency for Exports and Investment Promotion of Angola (APIEX) will participate on 27-28 August in Nairobi Kenya in the Sixth Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD-VI).

The meeting aims at promoting business that helps the development of African continent, reported to Angop, the chairman of APIEX Board of Directors, Antonio Henriques da Silva.

On the fringes of the event, the APIEX will attend a forum with its Kenyan counterpart, Kenya Investment Authority (KenInvest), aiming to launch the country to new investments in tourism field, including it into the roadmap of the international big groups, based in Kenya.

For this meeting, he explained that the main participants will be officials from the Ministries of Hotels and Tourism, of Environment, directors and representatives of different tourist sites of the country (Institute of tourist promotion and Industrial park)

So, APIEX chairman stressed that the political stability in the country may be used as a valuable proposal to investors, as well as an additional destination of their tourist roadmap, with Angolan entrepreneur's partnership, according to the current legislation.

Japan launched the (TICAD) in 1993 aiming to redirect the international attention about the importance and the urgency of African development issues, as well as to promote a high level dialogue between African leaders and development partners.

TICAD is a summit about African development co-organised by Japanese government and the UN Office of the special advisor on Africa, UNDP, African Union Commission (AUC) and the World Bank.
